There are a lot of factors that cause rough skin such as: the detergent we use to wash clothes, the soap we use for the bath, dry skin, sun exposure and even the pollution around us. Due to the fact that our hands get in touch with water a lot of times, the skin of our hands soon becomes dark. In order to keep you hands healthy, it Is important to take proper care of the skin.
However, there is no need for expensive treatments or creams, all you have to do is to use the following treatment and you will have soft and smooth skin.
First Step – Exfoliate your hands
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of olive oil
Due to the accumulation of dead skin layer, the skin of your hands looks dull. In order to remove the dead skin, you just have to prepare a mixture with 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of olive oil. After that, rub the mixture on your skin and then rinse it off with warm water.
Second step – Apply moisturizer
Many people tend to use hand creams along with body salve, but what you need to know is that usually the body moisturizer is extremely runny which is not effective for your rough hands. On the other hand, hand creams are much thicker than a customary lotion and have more supplements required for softening harsh hands.
All you have to do is to put a touch of cream about the measure of quarter onto every hand because it will penetrate into your skin during the night. Make sure to rub the cream all over your hands, between your fingers and around your fingernail skin. You can also apply some lotion up your arms in order to relax the skin around your wrists as well. Try not to stress if your hands feel oily or you think you have excessively.
The third step – Cover your hands with gloves
In the end, you should wrap your hands with gloves in order to trap the moisture inside. Moreover, the gloves will help you prevent the rubbing of hands on the bed sheets and pillow covers.
Make sure to follow these three steps every night before going to bed and your hands will be soft and smooth within a week.
