With 30 years in the renovation industry, I can tell you from experience mistakes are common, just hopefully not very costly.

 Here are the Top 5 renovation mistakes to avoid to maximize your ROI.

First: use quality materials! During a renovation project, it's common to run a tight budget, especially at the end. Cheap finishes like for instance your plumbing fixtures is something you should avoid. While these fixtures may have a nice look to them, the last thing you would want after all your hard work is to have a malfunctioning water source. Flooring can also have the same quality appearance as its #NAMEBRAND twin, however, 99.9% percent of the time the cheap price materials quickly show wear ending up needing to be replaced far too soon. Costing you more in the long run.

Second: During the renovation, if you discover some issues the can possibly wait 6 months to a year to fix, DON'T! Go ahead and fix them now while you have walls open, flooring up and in the long run it will be cheaper to do now versus waiting. If you have any faulty electrical or plumbing you definitely don't want a simple preventable problem turn into more than it could have been. Additional damages these can cause could be huge.

Third: The Third mistake to void is using carpet. Not only is carpet very dirty it has to have constant upkeep to keep the warranty. Especially if the renovation is in rental property the carpet will require changing more often than other flooring resulting in more money you spend in the long run.

Fourth: The fourth thing to avoid is underestimating the renovation cost. Renovations are tricky because you can't see what everything looks like until the demo process is complete. Not to mention things you never even thought of suddenly come to mind when the install process begins. Fresh paint and other new items suddenly make it a necessity to replace previously thought to be reusable items. So in the planning and budgeting stage of your renovation try and add an additional 20% to your budget so you covered. Simple or LUXURYRENOVATIONS alike tend to be very surprising in what "could" be replaced.

Fifth: Number five is always an issue in the renovation industry, estimating your time. Give yourself a 7 to 10-day completion window, especially if you run into additional work that needs to be done. After all your hard work and planning you do want to rush the final steps.

Alzheimer’s disease 10 Warning Signs!!

Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. In most people with the disease, those with the late-onset type symptoms first appear in their mid-60s. Early-onset Alzheimer’soccurs between a person’s 30s and mid-60s and is very rare. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia among older adults.

10 Warning Signs include:

1. Memory Loss
Forgetting recently learned information is one of the common signs of dementia. A person forgets more often and is unable to recall information later.

2. Difficulty performing familiar tasks.
People with dementia often find it hard or impossible to plan everyday tasks. They may forget how to follow directions, play a game, or make a phone call.

3. Problems with language.

People with Alzheimer's disease often forget simple words or substitute unusual words, making their speech or writing hard to understand. They may be unable to find their toothbrush, for example, and instead ask for "that thing with stubs for my mouth clean."

4. Orientation to time and place
People with Alzheimer's may become lost in their own neighborhood, forget how they arrived somewhere, and be unable to return home after a trip to the store or a friend's home.

5. Poor or decreased judgment
People with Alzheimer's may dress in appropriately for the weather. They may have trouble with money decisions - banking, giving money away, and forgetting to pay bills because they lack relevancy.

6. Trouble with abstract reasoning
Someone with Alzheimer's may have unusual difficulties completing complex mental tasks like forgetting what numbers represent and their purpose in an equation.

7. Misplacing things
A person with Alzheimer's may put things in unusual places like a ring in a heater vent or the phone in the freezer.

8. Changes in mood or behavior
Someone with Alzheimer's may display sudden mood swings - from calm to agitated to angry - for no apparent reason.

People with dementia may become extremely suspicious, confused, fearful, or dependent.

Sleepy Herbal Tea remedy:

A soothing herbal tea of lemon balm, mint, fennel, licorice and flowers, this tea is a calming bedtime tea for small children (and grownups, too). If you're looking for a good source of organic and medicinal herbs for your homemade teas and tonics. 


  • 1 tablespoon dried lemon balm
  • 2 teaspoons dried peppermint
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dried rose petals
  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender flowers
  • 2 slices dried licorice root
  • honey (as needed)
  • heavy cream or milk (as needed)


  • Place a kettle of filtered water onto the stove and bring to a boil.
  • While the water comes to a boil, place herbs and spices into a mortar and crushes with a pestle until roughly combined. Transfer to a teapot, pour boiling water over the herbs and steep for three to five minutes.
  • Strain and serve with honey and cream, as you like it.

Best Tips To Getting Asleep Fast:

1. Exercise During The Day:
Physical activity is often considered beneficial to healthy sleep. Exercise can increase the duration and quality of sleep by boosting the production of serotonin in the brain and decreasing levels of cortisol, the stress hormone.
However, it is important to maintain a moderate-intensity exercise routine and not overdo it. Excessive training has been linked to poor sleep. The time of the day when you exercise is also critical. To promote better quality sleep, working out early in the morning appears to be better than working out later in the day.
Therefore, a moderate-to-vigorous exercise in the morning could significantly improve the quality and quantity of your sleep.

2. Avoid Naps During the Day:
Due to poor sleep at night, people with insomnia tend to be sleepy during the day. This often leads to daytime napping. While naps of short duration have been linked to improvements in alertness and wellbeing, there are mixed opinions about the effects of napping on nighttime sleep.
Some studies have shown that regular, long (two hours or more) and late naps may lead to poor nighttime sleep quality and even sleep deprivation. One study showed that among 440 college students, those who reported taking three or more naps per week, those who napped more than two hours and those who napped late (between 6 and 9 p.m.) had the poorest nighttime sleep quality.

Another study found that older adults who napped frequently had lower quality nighttime sleep, more depressive symptoms, more limited physical activity and were more likely to be overweight than those who rarely took a nap. Other studies have revealed that naps do not affect nighttime sleep.
To find out if naps are affecting your sleep, try either eliminating naps altogether or limiting yourself to a short nap (30 minutes or less) early in the day.

However, you can make your bathroom smell fresh by adopting different cleaning methods to get rid of toilet odors.

1. Cleaning Your Bathroom by Using baking soda, lemon juice,                                           & vinegar:

Sometimes, the area around your toilet needs a good cleaning. This can help remove set-in odors that are causing a bad smell. A mixture of baking soda, lemon juice, and vinegar may work well. These products are often effective at reducing odor.
How to make and Use:
  1. Make a paste of equal parts of lemon juice and baking soda. Fresh lemon juice is best. Mix the substances together until your paste has the consistency of pancake batter.
  2. Spread this paste along the bottom of the toilet and the toilet seat using a damp rag. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Place some vinegar in a spray bottle. After 10 or 15 minutes, spray the vinegar along with the paste. Let it fizzle for a moment and then wipe off using your rag.

2. Eliminating Odors by Make a homemade air freshener.

Homemade air fresheners may be more effective than store-bought products. If an odor eliminator isn't cutting it, try making your own air freshener.
How to make and Use:
  1. For one air freshener, mix three parts water, one part vodka or rubbing alcohol, and 10 to 20 drops of essential oils, such as lavender oil, eucalyptus oil, or orange oil. You can purchase essential oils at a local health or vitamin shop or online. Place the mixture in a spray bottle and leave on the back of the toilet. Spray when needed.
  2. If the above mixture leaves an alcohol-like odor, try mixing two cups of water with a tablespoon of white vinegar, a teaspoon of baking soda, and 10 drops of essential oils. Put in a spray bottle and leave on the back of your toilet. Spray when needed.
